What a great day out, couldn't ask for more action! Mark and I started off early morning this spring with clearing conditions in the afternoon, perfect setup for our Wade Fishing Adventure in Port Aransas with Russell & Sons Outdoors. The weather was fixin' to clear up nicely as we headed out.

Port Aransas Fishing Report 

Storm

<div>today's trip started off slow after a huge storm blew through dropping a lot of rain with an east wind.&nbsp; most of our bites came around 930-10 a.m..&nbsp; we were still able to pull a few good reds for dinner but definitely had to work for them</div>

<div>waterloo phantom rods backed with daiwa bg 3000 reels and 20lb braid.&nbsp; cut mullet was the bait of choice&nbsp;</div>

This week's update

<div>This week the bite has been exceptional!&nbsp; I expect it to change as we move into the full moon over the next couple of days and be a little tougher bite.&nbsp; That being said we have just had a bunch of new fish enter the bay and flat system and the summer bite is in full swing.</div>

<div><b>the bite started off slow with the full moon in place.&nbsp; all fish were caught on down south lures and kicker tail plastics on a 1/16oz jig head.&nbsp; all fish were over grass flats with a high tide in appx 18"-2' of water</b></div>

Wade trip

<div>The trip started off with a slow bite in the morning but warmed up as we continued.&nbsp; &nbsp;it ended up being a good day pulling a Texas Slam all on artificials.&nbsp;</div>

<div>The bite was slow with full moon coming into play.&nbsp; We could visually see redfish however they did not want to eat.&nbsp; We changed our game plan and started looking for drum and boy did we find them.&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>

Fishing Trip 

<div>we had a great bite this morning at the back of the minor.&nbsp; we had a three man limit of reds by 9am with several released.&nbsp; all fish were caught on menhayden and perch with the bite slowing around 930.</div>

Wade Fishing 

<div>The bite started out great with it picking up all the way through the major.&nbsp; We caught multiple trout all morning through the major with the bite slowing around 1030.&nbsp; We changed locations and scratched out a few redfish all on down south plastics.</div>
