We had a great afternoon wade fishing trip down in Port Aransas, Texas with Tyler and his buddy. The weather was perfect, with clear conditions throughout the day. The water was in great shape, and we wasted no time getting our lines in.We started out working the shallows with some light tackle, trying to coax the Black Drum and Redfish up from the bottom. What a morning we had out on the water with Bethany and the kiddos on the 4 hr Morning Charter Trip with Russell &amp; Sons Outdoors! The conditions were not ideal with a cold front that blew in the night before - Redfish Bay had a light ripple on the water with the 20mph north wind but very calm smooth ride in Capt. Cory's Freedom Warrior.The first three or four stops we came up empty with bait still on our hooks.&nbsp; Capt. Cory continued to search and finally pointed out a spot where a couple of mullet were jumping.&nbsp; &nbsp;He anchored the boat and cast our lines out into a couple of potholes off of a point.&nbsp; &nbsp;Within just a couple of minutes we were hooked up with a keeper Redfish.&nbsp; These powerful inshore fighters really put up a great fight, making those rods bend and the drags sing. What a fantastic day on the water we had out here in Port Aransas! The weather was perfect, with a gentle breeze and calm seas that made for an ideal outing. As we motored out, I could tell the water conditions were looking promising. The clarity was great, and I had a good feeling the fish would be active. <div>today's trip started off slow after a huge storm blew through dropping a lot of rain with an east wind.&nbsp; most of our bites came around 930-10 a.m..&nbsp; we were still able to pull a few good reds for dinner but definitely had to work for them</div>

<div>This week the bite has been exceptional!&nbsp; I expect it to change as we move into the full moon over the next couple of days and be a little tougher bite.&nbsp; That being said we have just had a bunch of new fish enter the bay and flat system and the summer bite is in full swing.</div>

<div>we had a great bite this morning at the back of the minor.&nbsp; we had a three man limit of reds by 9am with several released.&nbsp; all fish were caught on menhayden and perch with the bite slowing around 930.</div>

Wade Fishing 

<div>The bite started out great with it picking up all the way through the major.&nbsp; We caught multiple trout all morning through the major with the bite slowing around 1030.&nbsp; We changed locations and scratched out a few redfish all on down south plastics.</div>

<div>We started off the morning looking for bait on the flats with a falling tide.&nbsp; it was very foggy with less than 100yrds visibility.&nbsp; the minor was at 830 with the majority of our bites from 8-930.&nbsp; we caught multiple redfish and a few black drum all on shrimp.</div>

Mondays trip

<div>We started the day off with a low tide wading the edges of flats and cuts.&nbsp; We had a great bite today starting off catching multiple trout.&nbsp; As the morning progressed we found the reds and capitalized catching several reds as well.&nbsp; All fish were caught on 1/16oz jig head using paddletails by down south and knockin tail in darker colors with the murky water and SE wind.</div>

Valentines 

<div>Today we started off at 715am locating bait on the edges of channels and guts at the bottom of the tide.&nbsp; The bite today was good with a 30mph SW wind with most of the bites 1hr before the minor.&nbsp; All fish were caught on dead shrimp.&nbsp;</div>

Morning Fishing Trip 

<div>Water temps were in the upper 40's this morning with a strong north wind.&nbsp; We fished a falling tide with major between 1030 and 1230 where the majority of the bites came from.</div><div>All fish caught were on dead shrimp on edges of channels adjoining flats in 2-4ft of water.&nbsp; We ended the day around 1pm with a 4 man limit of reds with several released.</div>

<div>All fish were caught with a Daiwa BG 3000 reel paired with a Waterloo Phantom Rod fishing dead shrimp on a 6/0 khale hook.</div>

<div>Today we were wade fishing post frontal with water temps between 51 and 54 degrees.&nbsp; outside temperature 40 degrees with a 20mph North wind and light drizzle.</div><div>All fish were caught on paddle tails and burner shad by knockin tail lures and down south.&nbsp; we had a very good bite despite conditions ending the morning trip with 16 redfish and 3 flounder.</div>

<div>Today I was using a Daiwa Coastal TWS 200 reel paired with an uglystick carbon rod.&nbsp; We were fishing plastics by Knockin Tail Lures and Down South in green pumpkin colors on a 1/16 jig head</div>
